Rentals

Thank you for considering our facility for your rental needs! Our facility can accommodate Weddings, Anniversaries, Birthdays, Showers, Fundraisers, Meetings and many other events.

Booking Times
The facility may be booked:
– Until Midnight, any later may be an extra charge
Liquor Permits
Must be posted at the time of your event.
Rental Contract
Upon booking, a Rental Contract will be issued. It will state when the damage deposit and rental fees are due. The damage deposit will be returned to you if the facility is left as it was found after your event within 4-6 weeks.
Supervisors
A supervisor representing Pat Porter Active Living Centre will be on site for all rentals.
Payment
We accept payment by cash, cheque or credit card, in person at least 2 weeks before the scheduled rental.

*Please note that our rentals are “bare bones” as we are a Senior Centre that runs programs and events daily, weekly and monthly for the Seniors in Steinbach and the surrounding communities.

 
*Your group will be responsible for set up and clean up/take down. Your event will be supervised by our volunteers. We are grateful for your support.

Facility

Event Centre:
4400 Sq. ft. room that comfortably seats 315 at 60″ round tables with room for your serving tables and coffee station. We have 35 tables available for use included in the rental fee.  The pastel neutral colors provide the opportunity for you to choose your colors for decorating. The Event Centre seats 400 for a concert or conference. It features a 35 x 22 stage complete with built in sound system and audio/video twin large projection screens. Liquor permits are allowed and we offer a portable bar to suit your needs.
 

Fireside Room:
This beautifully decorated 999 sq. ft. room can accommodate up to 50 people with tables and chairs. It features an operational electric fireplace across one corner of the room. This room is usually booked for showers, family gatherings, workshops, seminars, birthday parties and meetings.

Cozy Corner:
This room seats 15-25 people around tables making it ideal for board meetings, support group meetings and other small meetings or gatherings.

Northview Room:
This spacious 756 sqft room seats 30 – 40 people around tables making it ideal for a variety of events including family gatherings, workshops, seminars or meetings. 

Kitchen:
Our modern kitchen offers caterers the use of a commercial double oven – 10 burner range, commercial dishwasher, bunn coffee statin and refrigeration space. We offer 300 place settings of white dishes and elegant cutlery. Salt and peppers, creamers, sugars, bun baskets, coffee butlers and water jugs are available for 35 tables of 8. We have a list of local caterers and food handlers. You may choose your own caterer to suit your event.

Event/Wedding- Option 1
Includes: Event Centre, tables, chairs, sound,  PowerPoint, coffee maker, cooler and rehearsal time and decorating the night before.
Renter responsible to set up and take down tables and chairs.

Kitchen needs an individual who has a Food Handler or Caterer Certificate.
Priority given to Auditorium Rentals.
