Who We Are

Where new friends meet old friends

At Pat Porter Active Living Centre (PPALC), we focus on caring about people's needs. We do this in a variety of ways including daily programs and events, meal delivery services, transportation, community involvement, physical exercise opportunities and much more.

You are never too young to start thinking about how you want to age. At PPALC, we embrace the fact that everyday we are getting older and we do with giant smiles on our faces.

We are constantly looking for more programs and opportunities and love to hear the stories of the people who walk through our doors.

You're also never too young to come join us for a cup of coffee.

Serving Seniors Inc.

A community focal point for seniors

A non-profit organization that provides programs, activities, and services for seniors. It was created by seniors for seniors who's desire was to improve the quality of life for themselves and others.

This community-driven organization, which addresses aging, depends on generous donors and volunteers.

Mission Statement

To provide a community focal point for seniors with services, programs and activities to encompass their physical, social, intellectual and emotional well being with equal access for all. To enhance their dignity, support their independence, and encourage their involvement in and with the community.

Goals

To enhance the quality of life for seniors.

To provide outreach services as well as stimulating programs, activities and leadership opportunities. Provide the opportunity to make new friends as well as maintain old friendships.

To educate the community about the needs and services required by seniors and to make the community aware of the services seniors give the community.

To maintain a directory of existing and new resources and services that is necessary to seniors living in the community.

To inform seniors of and encourage them to participate in the opportunities for service available through Serving Seniors Inc. and the community.
